wild white walkers Book
do something difficult, it’s worth it
See and experience what it takes to traverse and live in the high altitude, snowy terrain of the Garhwal Himalayas. Learn techniques of effectively walking in snow using clampons, creating snow routes, self-rescue and see just what it takes cook a meal when it’s so cold and windy. Pitch tents in the snow and wake up to a wonderfully white world, everyday. This expedition is the real deal!
lead and take ownership
The group prepares for the coming snow expedition in an intense planning session. From menus, ration and utensils to a thorough checklist for braving the cold. Divide and share the load of supplies (‘khachchars’ help with the big stuff). As the days progress, instructors take a step back as the group takes initiative. Learn to work as a team in a new environment—look out for each other, learn to be considerate and share responsibilities of cooking, cleaning, firewood collection and resource management.
“I would like to thank the Inme team for giving my son such a great experience. It was an awesome experience, great practical learning and loads of fun too. He wants to go every year henceforth. He made a lot of new friends, learnt camping skills and also was taught the importance of doing one’s own chores and not to waste food. Thank you all.”
