lead and take ownership

Start with an intensive session to plan out everything needed for the coming days. From menus, ration and utensils to contingency food plans. Divide and share the load of supplies (‘khachchars’ help with the big stuff). As the days progress, instructors take a step back as the group takes initiative. Learn to work as a team—look out for each other, learn to be considerate and share the responsibilities of cooking, cleaning, firewood collection and resource management.

care and safety

Being well fed and hydrated is crucial to staying energised for the demanding days. There is wholesome and nutritious food for every meal, on campus and in the course of the expedition. Water, soup or juice provided during hydration breaks through the day. Our instructors take care of the rest. They’re all certified outdoor experts who go through extensive training and assessment before working with us. For the comfort and special needs of girls, there is a female instructor assigned to each activity group. A doctor is also present on campus at all times to attend to medical needs.

travel details

The group departs from New Delhi at 11:00pm. We travel overnight in AC buses till Paonta Sahib. The next leg of the journey takes you to our campus in non-AC buses, just in time for lunch. The road can get a bit bumpy over some uneven stretches, so be prepared! On the way back, the buses reach the assembly point in New Delhi by 5:30am. Alternately, participants may fly into Dehradun a day before the departure date. Inme can provide an airport pick-up-and-drop service, meals and overnight accommodation at an added cost.

fitness requirements

This program might be more demanding than the usual physical activities you’re used to. We recommend a little jogging, stretching and exercise a few weeks before the departure to gain the flexibility and agility needed to truly enjoy the experience. Do this wearing the shoes you want to carry for the program—it’ll help break into them.
