A team of robotics prodigies from the Primary Wing of Strawberry Fields High School, comprising Ranveer Gill of Class 4B, Ekam Singh of Class 3E, Jaiwik Singh Gambhir of Class 3D, and Reyansh Jain of Class 3C, took part in the LCRC (Little Champ Robotic Championship) conducted by Vigyantram at IIT Mumbai.<\/p>
The two-day event held on the 20th and 21st January 2024, saw our boys\u2019 team, led by Ranveer Gill, win the 3rd position. There were 25 other teams from across the country that participated in this championship. The team had to use skill and precision to drive the robotic car along three different tracks that posed varying difficulties.<\/p>
The positions were awarded after evaluating the performance of each team based on the time taken to complete the challenge, crossing the hurdles, and incurring the fewest penalties. Our young boys exhibited innovation and skill to excel in this championship. The event was a fusion of knowledge and teamwork, leaving an unforgettable imprint on each member of the team.<\/p>
The middle school students\u2014Aasia Mittal of 6A, Amaira Goyal of 7E, Divina Khanna of 7E, Kiara Sachdeva of 7E, Laya Pallavan of 8A, Ibadat Bansal of 8D, and Rasha Sood Saini of 8E\u2014formed two teams and participated in a thrilling Quadcopter championship. This exhilarating event featured a challenging obstacle course that tested their skills set, including hula hoops and wooden frames, and required participants to navigate their drones with balance and finesse.<\/p>
The event spanned three rounds, starting with a theoretical questionnaire on the principles of quadcopters. This highlighted the importance of team unity and cooperation, for success. The subsequent two practical rounds focused on the hands-on skills of drone navigation. As the students controlled their drones through the intricate course, they demonstrated not only technological prowess but also the practical application of their newly gained insights into the construction and flying of quadcopters. This combination of theory and practice, along with the emphasis on team coordination, provided a memorable and immersive experience for both participants and spectators, firmly establishing that practice makes perfect.<\/p>
The High School team was divided into two groups. The first team, comprising Nirvan Goyal of 9A, Tejasvin Sharma of 9A, Darsh Singh Lobana of 11C, and Hrishikesh Thirumalai of 11C, participated in the prestigious IoT event at IIT Bombay. Their project centered around a pioneering concept: a Smart Miner\u2019s Helmet designed to enhance safety and health monitoring in mining environments. This helmet, a testament to the team\u2019s ingenuity and technical skill, was equipped with cutting-edge features such as Air Quality Sensors, Bluetooth Modules, and a SpO2 Sensor. Throughout the event, they engaged with various experts and peers, gaining valuable feedback and insights. Their project was greatly appreciated for its practical application and the potential to revolutionize safety standards in mining.<\/p>
The second innovative team, comprising Bhavin Dewan, Navraj Singh Gill, and Daksh Vinayak of 11C, created an automatic irrigation system that seamlessly integrates sensor technology with smart algorithms to ensure precise water distribution for optimal crop growth. Their solution impressed the judges with its efficacy, and demonstrated a sustainable approach to water conservation on a national scale.
