One of the 3 elements of the Diploma ProgramCore, the EE requires students to undertake in-depth independent research in an area of their interest through the lens of one of the DP subjects offered at school. It extends beyond the curriculum and is a value add to student learning. At the IB Diploma level, the extended essay represents the continued emphasis on learning content through inquiry and increasing expertise in learning how to inquire.<\/p><p>Each subject group was assigned a slot of 1 hour 30 minutes. And parallel sessions were conducted over the day. The focus of the session was the subject methodology, research details, and reflections session details, online sources and referencing and citation requirements.\u00a0Each session concluded with a plenary session.<\/p><p>These sessions were aimed to enable students to make informed decision of their choice of subject for the extended
