GANDHI JAYANTI CELEBRATIONS AT SFHS
October 26, 2021
The 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, was virtually celebrated at Strawberry Fields High School today, 02 October 2021. The students and faculty members who took part in the tribute called upon all to take the opportunity to recall the four fundamental principles that Mahatma Gandhi taught: Truth (satya), non-violence (ahimsa), welfare of all (sarvodaya) and peaceful protest (satyagraha).
Students explained how Gandhian principles and ideologies are revered across cultures and people, and considered universal and eternal by the world.
“Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram”, a bhajan also called Ram Dhun, and loved by Gandhiji, was rendered beautifully by the choir.
The Music Department cast a spell on the viewers as the tributes to Bapuji, concluded with a bhajan sung by the faculty,‘Vaishnava Jana To’, written in the 15th century by the poet Narsinh Mehta.
